We will think about the relation between texts and images by considering a series of collaborative projects between photographers and writers that focus on issues of poverty, migration, incarceration, race and class politics, war and civil conflict, and sexual politics, and that therefore will help us reflect on the role and place of texts and images within the arenas of history and politics.
