Francisco del Pino is a Buenos Aires-born composer and guitarist with an affinity for music that is meticulous, expressive and patient. His debut album Decir, a song cycle on texts by Argentinian poet Victoria Cóccaro described as “stunning” (Bandcamp Daily), was released on New Amsterdam Records in 2021.
Francisco is a Ph.D. candidate in the Music Department and a fellow in the Interdisciplinary Doctoral Program in the Humanities. His research examines ideas of memory and identity by exploring intertextual and cross-media links between music and literature. During his IHUM fellowship, Francisco will work on the libretto for a new work drawing on diaries, letters and journals from the Archives of Latin American Writers at Princeton University.
