Bio/Description

Nicole-Ann Lobo is a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Art & Archaeology, and the Interdisciplinary Doctoral Program in the Humanities (IHUM).  Her research constellates the artists, jazz musicians, and anticolonial actors who collaborated in revolution and worked to bring about the end of empire in Goa and Mozambique. More broadly, she is interested in writing and reading manifestos, exercises in collective viewership, and questions of incommensurability, futurity, and repair. 

 

Her writing and criticism has appeared in Dissent, OctoberThird TextCommonweal and elsewhere.
